Emmerich Hawk
The Time of Troubles & Era of Upheaval
We would like to welcome you to our homebrewed Forgotten Realms campaign setting.
Inspired By Ed Greenwood

Emmerich Hawk is a half-elven bowyer and ranger from the town of Lonelywood in Icewind Dale in the late 13th century DR and beyond. He is a bowyer by trade.

He crafts bows for trade with the few caravans that find their way up to Lonelywood. It's not much, but it's an honest living. Besides, it allows him the freedom to pursue his true calling. Emmerich has a distinctly elvish appearance. He is a slender man with a pale skin tone and brown hair. He is a religious man who worshiped the Forest Father and has no time for gossip. Apart from regular bows, missiles, and weapons, Emmerich Hawk carries goblin arrows in stock, as well as a unique Talassan shortbow called the Storm Bow that came from the faraway Moonshae Isles.

In the Year of the Cold Soul, 1281 DR, Emmerich resided in the town of Lonelywood, providing his skills to the locals, making and repairing bows, crossbows, fletching arrows and bolts, and sold mundane simple weapons. In his free time, Emmerich served as a self-proclaimed "caretaker" of the Lonelywood Forest that grew by the town.

He made sure no local loggers nor hunters overstepped their bounds. Emmerich protected the forest, despite losing Silvanus' favor and losing the deity's blessings, after three new residents came to Lonelywood – three trappers who did not abide by the ranger's rules. The trapping in Lonelywood Forest was out of control, and Emmerich was unable to stop them, earning the Oakfather's scorn.

It manifested itself when Emmerich met a great white wolf in the forest- considered scared protectors by some. The wolf pounced at Emmerich before the ranger could react and sank its fangs deep into the flesh above the collar. Miraculously, the ranger managed to stab the beast with a dagger. it did not kill the white wolf, but it saved Emmerich's life. The ranger currently believes that his surviving the wolf, the Oakfather's vengeance, only angered the deity more.

At present Emmerich spends the majority of his time within the Lonelywood Forest, trying to attoned for his sins. He still maintains a close watch over the forst but in recent times the woodlands have become much darker than in the past. Emmerich fears a dark presense has moved into the forest. Searching for information has come up empty during his search. Whatever it is, it is keeping itself well hidden . . . for the time being.

The Ramshackle Inn
The Time of Troubles & Era of Upheaval
We would like to welcome you to our homebrewed Forgotten Realms campaign setting.
Inspired By Ed Greenwood

The Ramshackle Inn, a large landmark inn near the center of town. Located near the center of Lonleywood, this popular inn and tavern is built from sturdy lumber and heavy stone. Its decor is predictably northern in theme, and its sleeping rooms are plain but comfortable. Naturally this establishment focus's on hearty dishes of the north . . . beef "from the various hunters of the region" that is prepared in many ways, with potatoes and carrots.

Hunters and trappers who live locally gather here to trade stories and drink into the night.

The Ramshackle Inn is run by a older man named Dannick Ren, who comes from a family of well-known people from Lonelywood. The Nye family also makes a spirit from various fruit and vegatables that happen to get shipped to the settlement; it is, to put it mildly, an acquired taste. Kieran employs several hired hands to keep peace in his bar as well as to keep unwanted people from entering and stirring up trouble. The inn has not had many serious issues in quite some time and has become quite the peaceful eating establishment in Lonelywood. Dannick Ren is as friendly as they come, greeting everyone as they enter his establishment. He loves to entertain customers and listen to stories from those not from Lonleywood. Niester is also a good sources of information since he talks to most who enter the Ramshackle Inn.

The main floor of the tavern is mostly an of open area, filled with tables and chairs and a well stocked bar located on the side of the room as you enter the tavern. Bar stools have been placed around the bar itself.

The Speaker's House
The Time of Troubles & Era of Upheaval
We would like to welcome you to our homebrewed Forgotten Realms campaign setting.
Inspired By Ed Greenwood

This small building is the Speaker's House in Lonelywood, the center of government in this settlement which is where one might find speaker Muldoon during the day time hours when he is not out and about the settlement. This location is also the public meeting place for any important meeting that requires the speaker's attention. The speaker's house is located in the center of Lonelywood.

The structure is a medium sized two story building made of good quality stone and wood. The roof is made of wood with a bell tower rising from the back of the building. A noticeboard near the front door displays bulletins and information for residents and newcomers to Lonelywood, some are even jobs offering rewards for certain tasks.

The office is used for multiple purposes but is mainly used for meetings and such with a sturdy oak table with chairs seated around it. A large hearth warms the entire office during the colder months of the year. The speaker meets here monthly with the few prominent business owners in Lonelywood to discuss matters of importance. A large designer rug lay across most of the center of the room with well-made furniture and such spread across the room.

All rewards for completed jobs are paid out of the speaker's office by the speaker's himself. Outsiders will never gain access to the office without first getting permission. The second floor is mainly used as the lord speaker's home. A small hearth is in the back of the room which is independent from the one downstairs. The upstairs room is a simple room, with only the basic necessities. Speaker Muldoon spends very little time here except for getting sleep.
